Laura Metz-Velasquez is a state-licensed acupuncturist and a nationally board-certified diplomat of acupuncture through NCCAOM. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado Christian University in 2002 and a Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2007. With more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare field, Laura is a compassionate healer and dedicated educator. Her expertise extends beyond acupuncture to include herbal medicine, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, tui na, shiatsu, acupressure, and nutritional counseling.
As the founder of Vista Acupuncture, the herbalist behind Earth Apothecary Herbal Medicines, and the Lead Clinician at Golden Crane Wellness, Laura is committed to assisting individuals in achieving optimal health and balance through acupuncture and natural remedies. Following acupuncture treatments, Laura offers personalized Chinese herbal medicine formulas tailored to address specific ailments and promote overall well-being.
Catherine DiMaggio (Cathy) has more than 20 years of experience in Acupuncture, specializing in evaluating and providing expert treatment for veterans and civilians. Cathy received her Diplomate in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2000, followed by a Master of Science degree in 2003. Her educational journey has included comprehensive training in acupuncture techniques and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
Cathy is a Fort Carson US Army Disabled Veteran retiree where she worked as a Cobra Helicopter Mechanical Repair Technician. She became a resident of Colorado Springs in 1995. Outside of her practice, she enjoys engaging in outdoor activities like fly-fishing, camping, and riding her motorcycle. Cathy has a strong personal desire to help veterans recover from injuries and regain a fully functional life, reducing their reliance on pharmaceutical assistance.
